Advanced Product Design Expands Role at Norwalk

February 21- There are certain components in a race car that fit together perfectly.  And, there are certain companies that fit perfectly inside the marketing program of Norwalk Raceway Park.  Enter Advanced Product Design.

Recognized at this year’s Bar’s Leaks Awards Banquet as Manufacturer of the Year, APD has enjoyed a long history at Norwalk Raceway Park in a relatively short amount of time.  John Kyle, the owner of APD, has embarked on a new marketing program, expanding his exposure at the track, and increasing his viable, quality, company to the thousands of racers considering Norwalk the best stop on the circuit.

The Advanced Product Design Engine Race presented by Dart Machinery and Eagle Specialty Products will be held at Halloween Classic XXXIII.  The APD Engine Race pits the top sixteen drivers in Norwalk’s Points Program in a runoff for a complete 555 cubic inch Big Block Chevy Engine.

APD has also signed on as one of the sponsors of the new Super 16 class, slated to run four times at Norwalk this season.  The Super 16 will take the eight fastest door cars and the eight fastest dragsters on the property during the Season Opener, the Funny Car Foxhunt/ Jet Car Nationals, Night Under Fire, and the final race on September 9, 2006.

“We are proud to have a company like APD to work with at Norwalk,” President Bill Bader, Jr. said at the awards banquet.  “Having John Kyle and his family involved in our racing programs is paramount to our racers success.”

APD will continue the popular APD Run Tuff T-shirt program, awarding a free t-shirt to the driver who runs on their dial-in for the first time during eliminations at any regular Saturday points meet.  APD will also continue paying contingency for a carburetor or set up at $30 for the winner, and a whopping $350 for a yearly freshen on a motor, or a new motor.
