Where Is This When We Need It?

February 8, 2010

We received this photo today from a fan who must have been feeling the effects of our present weather. This pic was from the 2004 Night Under Fire, and Bob Motz is the pilot of the oversized fence igniter. If you have any good quality shots like this, send them to us so we can share them with everyone. We’d like thank Dean Broadwater for taking the time to send us this great picture of what would now be some very welcome heat!

February 8, 2010

We have the first couple birthdays of the New Year. Our friend and colleague Mike Davis from MotoLenz photo has a birthday today, and our own Bobbie Bader follows suit on Wednesday. We know how old Mike is, and it’s not as bad as it could be. We also just happen to know how old Bobbie is, and by comparison, Mike is older than crude oil! Happy birthday to both of you!

Cycle Tech and Summit Motorsports Park

February 8, 2010

One very good reason for the company’s involvement is that Rick McWaters, one of the most serious bike racers at the track, is Cycle Tech’s owner! (continued)

Off The Wall

February 3, 2010

The end of the summer in 1984 meant a return trip to Indianapolis over Labor Day weekend to indulge in another overdose of nitromethane. This year was a little different. I was taking the kids along, because this was something I wanted them to experience as well. Three boys between the ages of six and twelve, and me, headed for a two-day weekend at the Nationals. Those three had been, for the most part, raised around drag racing, so it wouldn’t be totally foreign to them. The same couldn’t be said about the boy’s friend Craig. (continued)
