Summit Racing Equipment is once again offering a great fringe benefit just for being one of our guests. Every time somebody comes out to the track and signs up for a Summit Racing Equipment catalog, they’re entered into a drawing. The same thing happens when someone signs up for our mailing list. St. Louis Surprizes!

Did you see that? The NHRA national race in St. Louis yesterday was an exercise in surprises. Tim Wilkerson, one of the nicest guys in drag racing, started the race from the pole as low qualifier for the event in Nitro Funny Car. The devil is in the details. For Bill Bader, the devil was a newly paved area of asphalt from the 660-foot cone to approximately 725 feet. His newly resurfaced race track, Summit Motorsports Park, in Norwalk, Ohio, looked amazing to the naked eye, but there was a “soft spot” of about 125 feet that just wasn’t right.
